Dinner is $65 per person.  Or, 

Friday Night Dinner Package  $250 or $300 (based on room selection).  Includes dinner for 2, overnight stay, full breakfast and late checkout. 

Tax & Gratuity are additional

Dinners start at 7:00pm and are BYOB.   Food allergies and other restrictions can be accommodated.

Friday Night Dinner Packages Every Week This Winter

 

Chef Paul BarronEvery Friday night at 7:00 this winter we will feature a 4 course meal prepared by local favorite Chef Paul Barron.   Chef Paul will bring his skills to our kitchen and prepare delicious meals every Friday night.  The menu will change frequently & will be sure to impress your taste buds and warm your winter blues.  You may want to come back every Friday this winter.  Menus will be published to our website, blog, and Facebook pages as they are determined.  Our Valentine’s weekend menu is listed below. 

Our Friday Night Dinner Packages are $250 (most guest rooms) or $300 (Madison Getaway & Town View).   Price includes 4 course dinner, full breakfast on Saturday, a late noon check out.    Taxes and gratuity are additional.   All Friday night dinners are BYOB.

If you have friends in town and would like to invite them to be your guest the cost for just the meal is $65.

Our New Year’s Eve celebration  starts in dining room in front of the fire with our signaature New Year’s Eve cocktail & hors d’oeuvres.    We’ll sit down for dinner at 7:30 and eat and celebrate until can’t anymore. 

$450 includes your overnight stay, cocktail reception, four course dinner for 2 people  champagne toast, New Year’s Day brunch and noon check out.  Dinner is BYOB

Go back to bed after brunch and stay for a second night for just an additional $129.   A complimentary chili dinner is offered at 4pm on New Year’s Day.

It’s time shop local this Thursday from 5 – 8pm in downtown Madison.   Checkin at Moxie or Cafe Allegre for a glass of wine and to get yourladies night small poster map and your wristband and let the shopping begin.  The wristband enters you into a drawing and gets you discounts at participating shops and restaurants all night long.    Stroll downtown Madison and enjoy the spirit of the holidays with friends and family.   Spend the night and save even more.   The Scranton Seahorse Inn will deduct $10 for every $100 you spend   We’ll tally your receipts Friday morning before checking out after breakfast.

A Last Minute September Special

Faulkner's IslandSeptember is a great time to be on and near the beach in Connecticut.   The weather in CT is spectacular with its’ warm days and cool nights.   I could sit on the beach all day to watch the sunrise and the sunset.  For the most part vacationers have gone back home and gone back to school leaving wide open spaces on otherwise crowded beaches.

We have a 3 night special at the Scranton Seahorse Inn throughout September that is hard to pass up.   For just $399 you get your choice of (available) guest rooms which includes a full breakfast each day.   We also have a supply of beach chairs and towels for you to borrow while you are here.   Don’t forget bike rentals are available from the inn until the end of October for just $10 a day.  The Madison Bike Share has been a great success this season and has benefited Vista Vocational along the way.

Spicy Red Pepper SoupThere are many things we do here on the Connecticut shoreline in order to coexist with the cold New England weather.   From skiing and skating to reading and hibernating, we each have our own ways to keep from going stir-crazy during Old Man Winter’s annual visit.  One of my own favorite winter rituals is to make homemade soup.    It’s healthy (well…sometimes!), satisfying and delicious, which means that in one pot I get to fulfill all of my promises to myself: live healthier, cook at home more, and eat better.

The aromas that fill the inn are second only to the reward of eating a bowl of hot homemade goodness.    I enjoy it so much that I have have started sharing my ritual with our overnight Sunday guests and am calling it Souper Sundays.   All guests that check in on Sunday are invited into the kitchen to help me prepare what will become the Sunday supper that we will share at dinner time.   It’s a time to bring the ever-changing Scranton Seahorse Inn guest community together to do something fun, healthy and,  if we do it right – utterly delicious.
